Welcome to the Waldor Lab

Our lab investigates the evolution, cell biology, and pathogenicity of clinically relevant enteric pathogens that cause diarrheal diseases including Vibrio cholerae,  enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli, Shigella flexneri, Salmonella spp., and Listeria monocytogenes. We are also interested in uncovering novel host responses to these pathogens and combining these to decipher host-microbe interactions at the intestinal mucosal surface.
